This leading world renowned global organisation is currently looking for a Lead Analytical Chemist for their brand new Analytical Service Laboratory. This is a new lab which is currently under construction & due to be completed in September of this year. The lab will grow to a headcount of approximately 24 people and will be an essential & high profile team for this global organisation. This person will have huge input into growing the analytical facility and technical ability. The Position. The role of Lead Analytical Chemist will be to: Perform complex physical and/or chemical analysis of raw materials, in process products and finished goods. Prepare detailed reports with recommendations. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following: SME (Subject Expert Matter) in either, Chemistry, Instrumentation or Mico, with three lab lead roles available in these functions. Performing basic and complex testing of materials at a high level of throughput using the required chemical, analytical and/ or sensorial methodology according to quality guidelines. Allocating laboratory operations and workflow. Supporting troubleshooting of quality issues. Leading research projects and developing or validating laboratory test methods and equipment. The Person. The successful Lead Analytical Chemist will ideally have 6 years' experience in a strong analytical or micro role.
