What you need to know. Our client is a world wide known organisation going through the exciting times of building a new Analytical Services Lab. The new lab will be key for the organisation and be involved in complex analysis and problem solving for the company. As part of this growth they are looking to hire a Laboratory Analyst (Metals) to join the team and play an integral part in its development. You are someone who works effectively under minimal supervision and is interested in developing subject matter knowledge in the field of Metal Chemistry. Your new job. You be conducting basic and complex testing of materials at a high level, using the required chemical methodology (ICP, ICP-MS, mercury analyser, arsenic analyser. You will be performing heavy metal analyses on a range of different matrices. Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis (chemical or biological. You will ensure the quality of the organization's raw materials, in process products and finished goods. Interpret data from routine and non-routine analyses to validate that ingredients/materials meet specifications. Record and interpret results to prepare detailed reports/documentation with recommendations/critical thinking. Maintain, test and validate laboratory equipment and test methods to ensure reliability. What are we looking for? Min. Degree in Science, preferably Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology or Food Science. MSc in Chemistry or Microbiology is desirable. Good knowledge and understanding of GLP and QMS. Experience and understanding of using LIMS. 6- 8 years Laboratory experience in the Food, Pharmaceutical or Chemical Industry.
