Knock House Hotel, which has just completed a €350,000.... 68 Bedroomed Refurbishment, is inviting applications for the position of an Experienced Front Office Receptionist on a permanent full time basis. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience in a similar style Hotel. A working knowledge of OPERA, or similar Front Office system is a distinct advantage. We are seking applicants who have an outgoing, pleasant personality, be very guest focused and strive to deliver exceptional customer care to all our guests. You should be well organised,have a keen eye for detail, be a team player and also be capable of working on your own initiative. Fluent English is essential. The Role will require: * Answering the Phone in a warm & welcoming manner & dealing with all Guest enquiries. * Taking Guest Reservations,& maximising the Rate & Occupancy. * Taking Restaurant Reservations as per our Company standard. * Checking in & welcoming all Guests & ensuring their needs are met from arrival to departure. * Assisting with all guest queries regarding "things to do"around the area,& to have an in depth knowledge of the many attractions that there are to see. * Ensure all charges are posted & that all billing is correct & accounted for. * Ensure your Cash handling & credit card transactions are correct & balanced daily. * Work closely with the Accommodation department to ensure Room requirements & requests are fulfilled. * With your "can do"attitude,assist on occasions,in other departments,as & when required. * Excellent promotional prospects.
