My client, a global CRO company in Co. Mayo, is currently recruiting a Laboratory Superviso r to join their team! They are expanding our cell culture line of business at the site and are now setting up a new cell based assay (CBA) laboratory to cater for our clients growing needs and to support them as they transition from in-vivo to in-vitro modes of testing. These assays will include potency assays. You will be responsible for setting up the new laboratory to GMP standards. The team will be responsible for the development and validation of new CBAs for clients, execution of routine validated CBAs and for the day to day running of the laboratory. You will be involved in both the culture of cells and in performing the end-point analysis e.g. ELISA based methods, etc. The following are minimum requirements related to the Laboratory Supervisor position. Minimum of MSc in a relevant science discipline, PhD desired. 5+ years experience of working in a fast paced GMP Lab. Experience in cell culture essential, ideally in preparation of cell banks. Experience in analytical techniques essential, ELISA and other fluorescent based immunoassays. Experience of method development and method validation highly desirable. Experience working in fast paced GMP environment highly desirable. Must be able to work as part of a broader team with QA, Validations, Procurement, etc. Excellent communication skills. Problem solver. Excellent aseptic technique and pipetting skills mandatory. Experience of managing people preferable.
